Solids

Solids have a definite shape and a definite volume. The molecules are also neatly arranged with no space between them.  Some examples of solids are rocks, metal, and titanium.

Gas

Gases have no definite shape or definite volume.  They also have molecules that move faster than liquids and solids and they fill up the container they are in.  Some examples of gases are water vapor, air, and carbon dioxide.

The three states of matter are solid, liquid, and gas.

Liquids

Liquids have a no definite shape and a definite volume. They also have molecules that are close togather and slide past each other.  Some examples of liquids are water vinigar and soda.
